  I am an engineer, and my understanding of our world is based on science. But I also live in a culture that is founded on Christianity. This combination and inherent conflict has given me a long-standing interest in history, religion, and mythology. The world of the Bible is, of cause, interesting, but the Middle Eastern, Greco-Roman, and Old Norse cultures and mythologies are also fascinating.
  I am not religious or a "mystic", but I have accepted that people of Antiquity and the Middle Ages perceived the world as mystical. To understand them, I have delved into their fascinating worldview. Time and time again, I have been surprised and excited.
